Out of Joint
The literary festival within steirischer herbst
Die Welt von gestern / Die Welt von morgen (The World of Yesterday / The World of Tomorrow)
8.10.–11.10., Literaturhaus Graz
Hamlet says: “The time is out of joint,” and he is right. A war is raging in Europe that refuses to end. The European Community was once created to permanently prevent such acts of aggression. But what has become of this great European peace project? With Stefan Zweig's book The World of Yesterday, we explore a Europe before World War II. With Robert Menasse, we look at potential perspectives of a world of tomorrow. And with Paul Lendvai, we welcome another great European.
With Martin Brachvogel, Katja Gasser, Karin Gschiel, Gerald Heidegger, Elias Hirschl, Paul Lendvai, Michael Martens, Ana Marwan, Robert Menasse, Das Planetenparty Prinzip, Franz Solar, Daniela Strigl, Theresia Töglhofer, David Valentek, and others
